Summer is a time to explore with those we love most, and guess what? This time my fam wanted to join me on a little excursion to Wapakaneta.

After a hooah of a semester I was released into the grand world on orders to execute my three week summer leave. One week which I spent in Denver with my man, who also kept me company on the 20 hour road trip up to Ohio.

Aside from tagging along with a bachlorett party on one of those public pedal bars Read more about that here. I continued my coffee hopping journey during my stay in Ohio, managing to only hit one coffee shop.... but I still did it!

The lucky winner was Cloud 9 in the little town of Wapakaneta Ohio which is the only city that doesn't have a yearly Fair to make all of its bank on in one go. Instead it has the Moon Festival, this town is all about the moon. Moon this, moon that, little souvenirs etc and a space museum that goes in a circle! Being the birth place of Neil Armstrong, the first man on the moon that historical fact makes the bank for this small country town.

"Okay, I need a picture for my blog, smile!"
"Can I please get a smile?!"

As close as we're gonna get it.

Yet there was no coffee shop that had anything to do with the MOON?! Nope, just a small one called Cloud Nine and another one that sells chocolates. But the agreement was on Cloud Nine for lunch after snacking on the irresistible McDonald's French Fries. We never turn them down.

Cloud Nine

In single strip of the town square across from a shoe store which uses the Good

Year logo, because they decided to leave it there upon selling the small auto shop after relocating. Yet the logo makes much more sense to be used by the shoe repair business than by Good Year Autoshop! I mean who thought a foot and wings was going to represent a way over priced car repair shop adequately? I don't know, but that person probably made way more than me on my ever fluctuating monthly paycheck.

Needless to say on this rainy Ohio day Cloud Nine was empty. It was just us three gals (my sister, mom, and me) in the small shop, which by the way has a hidden couch behind a half wall that we didn't find until leaving. With friendly country hospitality my mom and I got our meals. I believe she got a tuna wrap, while I got a chicken, cranberry sauced sandwich with kale--it had a prettier name but I just remember the damn good cranberry sauce! A sweet-tooth's dream!

Other than exploring the small one street city center, the best part this time, was that I got to have some of my favorite company with me. That's the beauty of family, they'll support your shenanigans all the way.

So... maybe next time you're over in Wapakaneta with your family. Give this one a shot, they have their nutella mocha in season for the summer!

For Now... STAY WILD!
