A three day weekend of the most last minute planned camping trip in the history of young adults! But we got the sun rise, s'mores and laughs to share!
Date: Columbus Day Weekend (whenever that was)
Location: Campsite #63
MUELLER STATE PARK

It seems to be theme that this blog is driven by the random ideas, and last minute trips me and my friends make together. But I sure am learning a lot. Normally a blog's intent is to teach you about something. They always say find your niche! I don't really know what mine is! But...it's working and I've got smiles to prove it! All I need now is NorthFace to sponsor me! That'd be cool!
Big dreams! Maybe one day!
However, enough of my muses and rambling style of writing, onto the actual tale of the three wild hooligans who wanted to go camping. Instead our gang turned into five! The more the merrier!
Four of which who had experience and one who had no "true camping experience" or at least she doesn't count the fact that we went camping at the Fam Camp in the summer after our freshman year while we were in soaring. We couldn't really go anywhere since we were restricted to base, so my argument is that we made due with what we had!

However, Lily's goal is to work her way up to backpacking. Who mind you, is also the founder of @SelvagiStudios see her content for all the photos to your heart's content. Trust me they're good. Senior pics, portraits etc. that's all her. Luckily Megan Reisch a good friend of mine from lacrosse is an avidly experienced backpacker. She definitely taught me a thing or two on this trip about how to manage on the simplest things. Next was Abby Asplund who is in the same club as me, where our families had taken us camping as we grew up. You know, take your kids out into the woods and get them away from society for a bit. Last, was Ethan Haley, this guy, you can give him a hammock and he'll be totally fine.
Now because of a mandatory football game we only camped for one night, since it ended at 9PM. Football games where we go are a whole day ordeal. But Megan and I had a lacrosse game so we spent our entire day in Denver getting the "W"
Yet again the call of getting away and outta the zoo was getting louder. We were antsy and agreed, let's get the heck outta here! Far away! So we settled on Mueller State Park west of us. With our lucky camping spot #63 we got a pretty nice overlook view. of the valley and scattered our tents. Now the camping spot was not designed for 5 people and four different tents, but we made it work.

There are just some camping activities your have to do, ie: s'mores, a camp fire, cook, and hike. Which we all managed. Sure there was a bit of arguing and unneeded drama especially when it came to trying to appease the whole group. Everyone comes from different backgrounds. And the inexperience, and experience showed. But overall it was still a good trip. I got to pitch my yellow tent, get up early watch the sunrise.

It was nice to go camping once this semester. Those who do it every weekend and go hike 14ers, hey, more power to you. But someone recently told me, "you can do anything that you make time for."
Yeah... she's got a pretty damn strong point there.

So... Camping or Glamping? Well, I was with friends and that made it glamorous!
See for yourself!
